Welcome to Pelican Place Nursery
Our aim at Pelican Place Nursery is to ensure that a caring, stimulating and safe environment is available for all children, to progressively ease the child and parents transition from home to nursery then later from nursery to school. We provide a warm welcome to all our children with activities designed to meet each individual child’s learning, development and welfare needs in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our team at Pelican Place Nursery are chosen because of their professionalism, experience in working with children and caring attitudes. We understand and embrace the importance of individualism and celebrate differences ensuring that all children are made to feel important and special at all times.
Our policies and procedures are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. Through continual observation, assessment and evaluation we are able to develop our practices and ensure that each child’s individual needs and safety are paramount within our nursery.
At Pelican Place Nursery we provide full day care for children aged 6 months – 5 years, 5 days a week, excluding bank holidays, 50 weeks a year, closing for a week in the summer and for a week over Christmas.
Pelican Place Nursery is situated in the centre of Witham town close to the main shopping area and mainline railway station. The nursery provides a safe and caring environment for children and attracts families from surrounding areas with working parents some of whom travel to London each day for work.
